Communication runs through daily life like a red thread. The probably most prominent idea to handle the variety of media is Unified Communication. Unified Communication provides access to messages from different media (e.g. e-mail, text messages and calls) through a single user interface. Another approach is grouping by topic, known mostly from e-mail applications. The idea is to group messages with the same topic instead of simply sorting all messages by time of arrival.

This thesis presents a fusion of Unified Communication and a variation of topic-based grouping: Messages are grouped by communication partner rather than by topic markers. We assume that messages exchanged with the same person are related, independently from the transfer medium.

An application for mobile phones was developed, which realizes this concept of Unified Dialoguebased Communication. The media e-mail, text messages, calls and the instant messaging protocol XMPP in the form of Jabber were implemented exemplarily. Extendibility with other media is easily possible due to the provided plugin architecture.

Please excuse the mixture of languages on the first pages, there were rules by the telecooperation group I had to follow. Every other occurance of german is unintended and was overlooked by several proofreaders including me. ;)
